PARK RULES
To keep Waterworks Waterpark a fun and safe place for each and every guest, we do have a few rules that we all have to follow.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Tickets:
• A minimum of 20 tickets must be purchased to qualify for the group discount rate. All group purchases are final.
• Group reservations are required and must be made at least 48 hours in advance by filling out the Group Reservation form
• Payment is due upon arrival. No billing or invoicing will be allowed. Tickets are non-refundable.
• ONE designated group representative checks in at front gate and will purchase tickets with ONE form of payment. Accepted payments: cash, check (payable to PWC), VISA, Discover, American Express, and MasterCard.
• All reservations are first-come, first-serve, and are subject to availability and capacity of the waterpark on any given day.
• Groups may arrive at any time during the hours of operation.
• For hours of operation please visit www.waterworkswaterpark.com.
• The purchase or use of a group ticket indicates your consent for photographic images for promotional purposes.
• Group discount offer is good Monday thru Friday only with reservation. Weekend group rate available with pavilion rental only.
Food Policies:
• Outside food or drink (with the exception water) will not be permitted into Waterworks Waterpark. This includes bag lunches and/or other snacks. We recommend leaving food and drinks on the bus and utilizing outdoor picnic areas.
• All bags, coolers, and backpacks are subject to search. No glass or alcohol are permitted.
• Groups that are interested in purchasing pizza and drinks for their group should contact site manager for pricing and availability.
Facility Use:
• The following safety and supervision ratios must be maintained at all times:
– Ages 6 & older – 1 adult for every 10 children
– Under 6 – 1 adult for every 5 children.
• Coast guard approved life jackets are recommended for guests under 48”.
• Coast Guard approved life jackets are supplied at no charge to guests on a first come, first-serve basis.
• If inclement weather that causes the facility to close during operations, rain checks will be issued to guests per the facility rain check policy. Group rain checks will be issued to the purchaser of the group tickets only and will not be issued to individuals in the group.
– Rain checks will not be issued within 2 hours of scheduled closing time.
• Use of a group ticket constitutes acceptance by the patron of the rules and regulations of Waterworks Waterpark.
• All swimming guests must wear proper swimming attire. Cutoff jeans, tank tops, or gym shorts are not acceptable swimming attire.
• Waterworks Waterpark is not responsible for any lost or stolen items from lockers or park grounds.
Reservation Policies:
• Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
• Reservation date and time is secured with full payment.
• All reservations are first-come, first-serve, and are subject to availability.
• Rental hours for pavilions that are located within Andrew Leitch Park (outside of the waterpark) are dawn to dusk and all parties must vacate Andrew Leitch Park at dusk.
• The PWC Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism reserves the right to conduct a background investigation of any rental group.
• Checks will not be accepted within 14 days of rental date.
• Accepted payments: cash, check (made payable to PWC), VISA, Discover, American Express, and MasterCard.
Cancellations:
• Waterworks Waterpark team members will contact rentals groups 24 hours in advance of rental date if inclement weather is fore casted for the rental day to invite the rental guest to reschedule or request a refund.
– Inclement weather is defined as: temperatures below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, prolonged precipitation, sustained storms containing thunder and lightening
• In the event that Waterworks Waterpark does not open due to inclement weather, refunds will be issued to rentals scheduled inside the waterpark. Refunds for pavilion rentals within Andrew Leitch Park will be issued at the discretion of management.
• If Waterworks Waterpark closes for inclement weather during the operating day, rentals that have begun prior to closure will not receive a refund. Any rental that has not yet begun, will be issued a refund or the ability to reschedule.
• Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to rental date for a refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to rental will result in no refunds.
Pavilion Use:
• The contracted party is responsible for cleaning the pavilion and area surrounding pavilion after use. All trash and debris must be properly disposed in containers.
• The Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism is in no way responsible for injury or damage to property or persons using the facility. The contracted party is solely responsible and in no way will hold the Prince William County, or its employees, responsible for damages. The contracted party agrees to pay for any damages and/or excessive trash removal.
• Alcohol use/consumption is not permitted within Waterworks Waterpark or Andrew Leitch Park.
• DJ’s or sound systems are not permitted within Waterworks Waterpark or Andrew Leitch Park.
• The contracted party is prohibited from selling items or products of any kind, including but not limited to food, drink, alcohol, or merchandise on Prince William County property, which includes Waterworks Waterpark and Andrew Leitch Park.
• In the event that a police or ranger presence is required for your function, all fees related to such services are due at the time of reservation in addition to the reservation fee.
• The Treeline Pavilion has a charcoal grill available for use. No portable or additional grills are permitted. None of the pavilions located within the waterpark have grills available.
• Moon bounces are not permitted with Waterworks Waterpark or Andrew Leitch Park.
Pavilion Rental Food Policy: Outside Food and Drinks are not allowed in Waterworks Waterpark except for bottled water (not flavored) and a birthday cake/cupcake. We do have a refrigerator to store dessert but in rare cases, we may not have the space. We ask that you bring a normal size cake or cupcakes otherwise we may not have the space in our refrigerator to store it. We offer large pizzas (Pepperoni or Cheese) at $15/pizza and 2-gal drink coolers of fruit punch or lemonade for $10 each. All other food must be purchased off of the concessions menu. Bags will be searched at the Front Gate for weapons (to include water guns), outside food and floatation devices. Please be sure to remove all outside food and return it to your vehicle. Waterworks Waterpark cannot hold food or drink items for guests. We have picnic tables available for guests outside the park. The wristbands and food choices will be purchased and paid for the day of your pavilion rental.

• Reservation date and time is secured with 50% of rental fee as a deposit. The remaining balance is due the date of the rental, final payment must be made prior to the start of the rental.
• All reservations are first-come, first-serve, and are subject to availability.
• Exclusive rentals will only be permitted to be scheduled between the hours of 6:30pm – 9:30pm, all rentals require a two-hour minimum rental time.
• The PWC Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism reserves the right to conduct a background investigation of any rental group.
• Checks will not be accepted within 14 days of rental date.
• Accepted payments: cash, check (made payable to PWC), VISA, Discover, American Express, and Master Card.
Cancellations:
• Waterworks Waterpark team members will contact rental groups 24 hours in advance of rental date if inclement weather is fore casted for the rental day to invite the rental guest to reschedule or request a refund.

• In the event that Waterworks Waterpark does not open due to inclement weather, the exclusive rental group will be contacted and required to make decision regarding rental by 5pm. They will have the choice to reschedule, cancel and receive full refund or move forward with rental as scheduled.
– If the group decides to move forward with the event and inclement weather occurs during the rental period, rental guests will be subject to comply with all facility regulations regarding weather conditions.
– No refunds or time adjustments will be made.
• Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to rental date for a refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to rental will result in no refunds.
Exclusive Use Policies:
• The contracted party is responsible for ensuring that all trash and debris must be properly disposed in containers.
• Exclusive rental is to be used for invitation only events.
• The Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism is in no way responsible for injury or damage to property or persons using the facility. The contracted party is solely responsible and in no way will hold the Prince William County, or its employees, responsible for damages. The contracted party agrees to pay for any damages and/or excessive trash removal.
• Alcohol use/consumption is not permitted within Waterworks Waterpark or Andrew Leitch Park.
• Glass containers are not permitted.

FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY
- Outside food and beverage is not permitted inside the waterpark (water is allowed). Baby food is permitted. No glass containers.
- Parents, please watch your children at all times
- Rubber swim pants and swim diapers are required
- Inflatable floats are not permitted
- Proper swim attire is required for entrance into all aquatic areas
- Guests are allowed to bring (1) unopened 20 oz. bottle of water per guest into the waterpark.
- No outside food or snacks are allowed inside the waterpark
- Guests may bring baby food, formula, and milk but only in plastic containers*Glass is not permitted anywhere inside the waterpark

There is no age limit for Splash ‘n’ Play, although it is geared for children ages 5 & under.
Splash ‘n’ Play (a big splash pad for young children) is available from 9:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. on Tuesdays from June 18 through July 30, 2024. During this time, the rest of the waterpark is closed.

You must be at least 48” tall to go down the slide or complete the obstacles (crossing features). You must be 48” tall in order to reach the ropes above your head.
If you are under 48” tall, you must complete a swim test. Please visit the Lifeguard Station and ask to take a swim test. If you are under 48” tall and you complete a swim test, you can swim but you will not be able to reach the ropes above your head at the obstacles.
Outside food and beverage is not allowed in the waterpark (bottled water is allowed). Baby food is permitted – no glass containers. If you would like to pack a lunch and leave it in the car, you can exit the waterpark to eat and get a handstamp to reenter the park.
Yes. If you need to leave the waterpark for any reason, you can get a handstamp and return to the waterpark the same day. Please note, however: if the waterpark reaches maximum capacity at any time, you will need to wait until someone leaves to reenter.

The cost of admission is separate – with a rental it’s $8.75 per person if paying at the same time in the same transaction. Anyone who is entering the park must have a paid admission – the only exception is if they’re 2 and under. You may purchase tickets the day of your reservation, in which you will be given wrist bands as your tickets. You will be responsible for distributing these wristbands to your guests. These wristbands allow pavilion guests to enter and exit the park even if we hit capacity. You can enter the park without having to wait in line.
